Our take on Pebble Witch
Its defining structure is a deliberately brief outing where about 20 minutes are spent walking, followed by shorter periods of sitting, waiting, and reflecting on the witch’s teacher.
What is Pebble Witch?
Pebble Witch is an RPG-like walking and conversation game set during a day in Kiama, an Australian beach town in Dharawal country.
The player controls a gay witch who talks to pebbles, walks, sits quietly, and reflects on becoming and a crush on a burly teacher. The game includes two spells and about 30 minutes of playtime. Walking accounts for about 20 minutes, sitting still and waiting for 2 minutes, and thinking about the teacher’s gardening shorts for 8 minutes. The witch can sit with and listen to many rocks. A soundtrack by Software of Seagulls accompanies the game. Switch Pro controller support is included, while full controller support has not yet been implemented.
