Our take on Pavlov's House
The focused recreation of one strongpoint defense provides a tightly defined historical scenario, but limits the game to a single battle context. Its automated rules and card-driven opposition also leave less room for direct control of individual units.
What is Pavlov's House?
Pavlov’s House is a strategy game about Soviet defenders holding a fortified position in Stalingrad during World War II.
The objective is to survive until the defenders are tasked with attacking a German strongpoint. A deck representing elements of the German 6th Army drives the opposition and shapes the decisions during play. The digital edition recreates the original board game, includes a tutorial, and offers four difficulty and complexity levels from Basic to Elite. It manages the rules while the player handles strategic choices and their consequences. The game also includes extensive rules, historical background information, and an original soundtrack by Gabriel Berger.
