Our take on PatriotMemoirs
The store presentation foregrounds a large number of branches and endings, but the core experience also depends on routine exploration and a broad set of small spy-themed activities. That variety may matter as much as the headline ending count when judging the game’s structure.
What is PatriotMemoirs?
Set in Japanese-occupied Shangchuan in 1939, this narrative adventure follows Zhu Shiming, an ordinary person working undercover in an enemy stronghold.
Daytime work and nighttime exploration open different events, with missed activities able to produce further developments. Spy-themed tasks include lockpicking, microfilm handling, lie-detector sequences, butterfly-knife play, latte-art preparation, and casino games. Choices affect Zhu Shiming and other characters across more than 30 characters, 256 decision points, and 609 branching storylines. The game includes 600 minutes of cinematic visuals and up to 16 different endings. Its story draws on historical dates, places, characters, and events while presenting a fictionalized account of wartime resistance.
