Our take on Partitas
The focus on melody and accompaniment gives Partitas a distinct musical structure, but also limits variety to listening and score-reconstruction challenges. Scene customization adds a secondary activity rather than changing the central puzzle format.
What is Partitas?
Partitas is a melody-based puzzle game centered on instrumental classical music.
Players listen to songs and reconstruct stained, unreadable scores by identifying notes from both the melody and accompaniment. The game presents more than 150 notes to resolve and includes music from 11 composers, including Chopin, Schumann, Beethoven, Schubert, Bach, Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Ravel, Mendelssohn, Granados, and Chiquinha Gonzaga. Knowledge of sheet music is not required. After each challenge, players can hear the complete work performed by a pianist. Pixelated scenery can be customized with collectibles bought using the game's currency.
