After an explosion at a neuroscience laboratory devastates River Lake, a biochemical release turns living things into bloodthirsty threats.
With food and water running low, the protagonist leaves an apartment to search the broken city, look for a girlfriend, and find a way to escape. Gameplay combines point-and-click exploration, object searches, item use across different scenes, puzzle solving, and fights against infected zombies. Actions have consequences, and trigger effects can influence the story. Multiple endings shape the outcome. The game also includes a soundtrack written by David F. Burrows and a storyline about uncovering the cause of the disaster.
