Our take on Overlooting
The game shifts the usual RPG emphasis from a stable skill path to a changing one. Inventory management is the central activity, while equipment sets and run-specific abilities replace a single permanent build route.
What is Overlooting?
Overlooting is an inventory-management roguelike built around repeated runs.
Its main activity is collecting equipment, combining items, and creating builds from set bonuses and skills. The skill tree changes with every game, offering general utility, power increases, or choices that support a specific build. Maximilian, Liz, and The Shadow form an unlikely group tasked with defeating a dark force corrupting the world. Equipment belongs to sets, and equipping enough pieces from one set unlocks a unique bonus. Each region ends with a boss encounter. These enemies have special abilities, so equipment choices, skill selection, and decisions during the journey shape the party’s preparation for each confrontation.
