Our take on Out of the World
The unusual sight-and-memory mechanic receives the main emphasis, while the game is also a contained 50-stage platformer. The post-completion heart collection adds replay activity, but the structure remains stage-based rather than an expansive world.
What is Out of the World?
Out of the World combines platforming, puzzles, and action in a 2.
5D setting governed by visual memory. Objects that the character sees materialize, while meditating and opening the eyes again makes the observed object disappear. Players control movement, jumps, the viewpoint, and the character’s eyes to solve situations based on remembering what was visible. The game includes action elements alongside its puzzle mechanics and contains 50 stages. Its story follows a protagonist who enters a mysterious world after being deceived by internet society and questions the answers found there. After completing all stages, players can replay the game while seeking hearts in each stage.
