Our take on ORBIT
The emphasis on speed, modes, and customization can obscure the main access restriction: ORBIT is local multiplayer only for 2-4 players, with no solo or online option. Its play format depends on having other players available locally.
What is ORBIT?
ORBIT is a local multiplayer twin-stick space brawler for 2-4 players, with no single-player or online mode.
Players pilot ships between planets at high speed while accounting for gravity and using abilities such as shields and teleportation. The game includes nine modes, including Destroy, Annihilate, Conquer, Survive, Knifeparty, Tennis, Squash, Rocketfest, and Homing. Between fights, ships gain upgrades through branching progression paths. Randomly generated maps provide changing arenas, while Forge lets players configure custom battles by selecting victory conditions, orbital elements, and match length. Tournament Modes and Mayhem Modes offer different objectives, weapons, hazards, and projectile behaviors, including gravity zones, bouncing rockets, duplicated rockets, and homing missiles.
