The bounce point comes when platforming gives way to route-solving: switches, levers, and pushable blocks must be used to open doors or trapdoors. Players who clear those sections then face a boss in the fourth area of each level.
What is On A Roll 3D?
Roll through 24 levels spread across six themes in a fast 3D platform game.
Each level includes three areas to navigate through hazards and enemies, followed by a fourth area with one of six end-of-level bosses. Protective stars and hidden bonuses appear along the routes. The game combines a regular 2D platforming format with 3D layouts, including platforms that cross in front of one another. Puzzles use physics and logical reasoning, with switches, levers, and pushable blocks opening doors and trapdoors or providing access to otherwise unreachable places. Hazards include spikes, mines, dynamite, conveyor belts, springs, bumpers, lasers, saws, fire, ice, water, electricity, and trapdoors.
