Is Olorun: Theocracy worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fantasy RPG players who want combat alongside equipment crafting
- Small groups seeking cooperative play for up to four players
- Players interested in directional melee and material-based equipment differences
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want fixed-direction or lock-on melee may hit a wall when combat requires cursor-based directional control
- Players uninterested in resource gathering and forging may find the equipment workflow too involved
- Players seeking battle royale survival are not a match for this fantasy RPG
- Players looking for a score-based zombie running game are not a match for its RPG structure
Our take on Olorun: Theocracy
Players may bounce off the melee system when attacks and defenses require cursor-based direction instead of lock-on or fixed-direction controls. The forging system may also become a sticking point for anyone uninterested in selecting materials and shaping weapons.
What is Olorun: Theocracy?
Olorun: Theocracy is a medieval fantasy RPG set on a continent ruled by competing gods and threatened by the return of ancient false gods.
Players can choose their identity, explore adventures, gather resources, and fight dangerous monsters. Combat uses a 270-degree melee system in which cursor movement changes the direction of attacks and defenses. The game supports single-player play and cooperative groups of up to four players. Its forging system allows weapon creation with different materials and customizable shapes. Material choices can affect an item's appearance and attributes, so equipment of the same type may vary according to how it was forged.
