Our take on Nowhere Station
The store pitch gives prominent attention to bizarre robot cults and unusual movement, while the described play centers on shooting enemies, finding equipment, and extending survival during the station crisis.
What is Nowhere Station?
Nowhere Station is a top-down roguelike shooter set on a station entering a mysterious nebula.
Many robots become members of strange cults, while some remain unaffected. The player controls one of the functioning machines and attacks the cults before they destroy the station. Movement is limited to traveling from wall to wall, so positioning must be planned while shooting enemies. Equipment found during the struggle can provide ways to attack a large enemy or extend survival for a few seconds. Combat centers on facing numerous hostile robots and trying to remain alive as the station’s crisis unfolds.
How Nowhere Station plays
- 01Wall-Based Movement
- The machine travels between walls, making movement planning part of each firefight.
- 02Roguelike Shooting
- The game combines repeated combat attempts with equipment found during the struggle.
- 03Robot Cults
- Enemies are robots grouped around strange objects of worship, including perfection and a great toaster.
Nowhere Station compared to similar games
Abyssus also combines roguelite structure with shooting, but its description emphasizes multiplayer action, hand-crafted levels, and weapons that can be refitted with ancient technologies. Nowhere Station instead highlights wall-to-wall movement, equipment found during combat, and battles against robot cults.
