Our take on NOT the Hero
The presentation foregrounds the joke-driven premise and weapon variety, while giving only brief detail about how zones differ or how boss encounters work. The core structure is clearer than the breadth of content within each area.
What is NOT the Hero?
Play as an unwilling adventurer forced into a strange journey by a giant squid god.
The game combines platforming with combat: movement includes jumping, double jumping, and wall jumping, while attacks include thrown rocks, grenades, lasers, and lock-on plasma bolts. Additional abilities become available as the adventure progresses. Each zone contains an end boss, and the story uses a deliberately silly tone with Easter eggs and situations intended to leave the player confused. The protagonist is framed as the wrong person for the job rather than a traditional heroic figure.
