Our take on Normality
The focus on surreal investigation gives the game a distinctive puzzle identity, but it leaves little room for action-oriented play. Progress depends on interpreting unusual clues and solutions, which may feel less direct than conventional adventure puzzles.
What is Normality?
Normality follows Kent Knutson, an awkward citizen placed under home arrest after whistling in public.
He must leave his home, investigate the controlled city of Neutropolis, and uncover the cause of its widespread apathy. Exploration takes place across surreal locations, with clues gathered through a point-and-click interface built around a voodoo doll. Progress depends on solving puzzles that can have several unusual solutions, while motion-capture sequences provide rewards during the investigation. The story presents bizarre questions about the city, its furniture-making company, flying penguins, and a figure named Brian Deluge.
