Our take on No Crime
Rather than centering a crime mystery on direct confrontation, the game makes broken memory part of the investigation. Its tension comes from reconstructing events, examining clues, and following a slowly unfolding conspiracy in a Southeast Asian Chinatown.
What is No Crime ?
Set in a Southeast Asian Chinatown around 2001, No Crime follows private detective Sui Feng after an attack during a police investigation into a drug case.
A head injury leaves him with intermittent amnesia, while the death of his girlfriend drives his search for the culprit. Players retrace his steps, examine clues, and piece together memories as the investigation reveals characters with different motives and positions. The game uses a suspenseful atmosphere with low sounds and scripture chanting rather than ghost jump scares. Its locations can be explored, and the puzzles are tied closely to the developing story. Folk culture, local surroundings, and period equipment shape the setting.
