Our take on NO BACKUP
Rather than presenting horror through a detached camera, the game places the entire view inside a shaky bodycam. Voice communication becomes a liability because the creature can hear it, turning a standard co-op tool into part of the threat.
What is NO BACKUP?
Join a special operations team entering an abandoned zone with a bodycam, weapon, and radio.
Up to four players can work together while searching hospitals, bunkers, forests, and corridors for ammunition, batteries, healing items, keys, and other supplies. Inventory space is limited, so teammates decide how to distribute what they find. The creature reacts to footsteps and spoken communication, making coordination necessary but risky. The game uses a shaky bodycam viewpoint without health bars, with limited visibility and unstable movement. Players must stay together, cover one another, and plan their route while conserving bullets and supplies. Splitting up, hesitating, or making noise can leave a team member behind.
How NO BACKUP plays
- 01Four-Player Co-op
- Teams can include the player and up to three friends during missions.

- 03Restricted Inventory
- Players search lockers, toolboxes, and rooms, then decide whether to share limited supplies.
- 04Bodycam Perspective
- The view uses shaky movement, limited visibility, and no health bars.
- 05Resource Scavenging
- Search areas for flashlight batteries, medical items, ammunition, and keys while conserving bullets.
NO BACKUP compared to similar games
Abyssus is a multiplayer shooter with hand-crafted levels and weapons that can be modified with ancient technologies, while NO BACKUP centers on co-op horror, scavenged supplies, voice-sensitive danger, and a bodycam viewpoint. The other listed alternatives focus on climbing puzzles, a runner-shooter format, a third-person shooter, or a metroidvania structure rather than this team-based survival setup.
