Is NeverBound worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- First-person shooter fans who want combat built around changing gravity
- Players who enjoy spatial puzzles tied to movement and level structure
- Action players seeking fights across floors, walls, and ceilings
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want conventional first-person shooter movement may hit a wall when gravity changes the direction of floors, walls, and ceilings.
- Players seeking a straightforward shooter may bounce off the combined combat, gravity manipulation, and environmental puzzle structure.
- Players looking for a climbing-focused journey may prefer a game centered on that activity rather than gravity-based shooting.
Our take on NeverBound
The bounce point arrives when gravity stops being background physics and becomes the control scheme. Anyone expecting familiar FPS navigation may struggle once walls become routes, ceilings become firing positions, and grenades can float or curve around corners.
What is NeverBound?
NeverBound is a first-person shooter set in environments where gravity can point in different directions.
Combat and puzzles use this multi-gravity structure, allowing movement across walls and ceilings as well as conventional floors. Players can attack from inverted positions, turn long corridors into vertical drops, and use shifting perspectives to outmaneuver enemies. Grenades can travel in different directions, curve around corners, or remain suspended in zero gravity. The Gravity Baton delivers close-range attacks and disrupts enemy gravity fields. Other abilities apply intense gravitational force to crush opponents. The setting follows the discovery of a fifth fundamental force and the construction of STRUCT, an environment built around directional gravity.
How NeverBound plays
- 01Multi-gravity combat
- Fights take place across floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with changing gravity directions.
- 02Directional grenades
- Grenades can travel along unusual paths, pass around corners, or float in zero gravity.
- 03Gravity Baton
- The baton attacks enemies at close range and interferes with their gravity fields.
- 04Gravity-based attacks
- A separate ability applies strong gravitational force to crush opponents.
- 05Environmental puzzles
- Puzzle sections use the game's multi-gravity environments as part of their challenges.
NeverBound compared to similar games
NeverBound combines first-person shooting with directional-gravity combat and puzzles. Abyssus also focuses on multiplayer shooting, but its description centers on cooperative roguelite levels and weapon modifications rather than gravity manipulation. Hentai Vs Furries is a third-person shooter with quests, skins, multiple camera angles, emotes, and a main game mode, while NeverBound emphasizes gravity-based movement and attacks.
