The defining structure is a top-down defense loop centered on protecting one Radallium-rich rock through increasingly chaotic enemy waves, with each run changing its quests and offering progression through ores, items, pickups, and upgrades.
What is My Pet Rock?
Defend a planet and its Radallium-rich rock against recurring attacks from miners, hostile enemies, and difficult bosses.
Each run includes procedurally generated quests, while increasing enemy difficulty creates progressively more chaotic battles. Mine ores to buy distinctive items or trade them for scrap, collect pickups and upgrades, and manage the planet so its citizens generate resources. Players can choose from 9 characters, each offering a different play style. The game combines top-down planet defense with roguelite progression, bullet-hell combat, and arcade elements. Its story follows a United Nations employee sent to protect the rock from Mega Corporation Rock Co during a resource search in 1976.
