Our take on My Koi
Instead of making simulation about optimisation or competition, My Koi centres on quiet observation and routine care. Fish growth, happiness, naming, and habitat changes replace conventional goals such as expansion, conflict, or resource management.
What is My Koi?
My Koi is a fish pond simulation focused on caring for and observing koi.
Each pond supports up to 18 fish, while three ponds can hold up to 54 fish altogether. Fish can be named, fed, tapped to make them swim away, and customised through changes to their scales and patterns. Pond settings include rocks, plants, substrate, and water colour. Fish grow over time, with growth statistics and happiness levels available to view. Milestones open extra fish spaces and new varieties. The time of day affects the pond’s sound and light. An ambient mode provides just the sounds. The app has no in-app purchases or advertising.
