Our take on My city and army
Its staged progression gives the campaign a clear sequence, but limits how freely players can advance: each new level depends on completing the required tasks. The design also ties economic development to military expansion, leaving less room for a purely peaceful city-building approach.
What is My city and army?
This strategy game combines city construction, resource management, military training, and territorial expansion.
Progress begins at level 1, with tasks required before advancing through later levels. Players select available buildings and provide the resources needed for construction. Agricultural activities include growing rice, wheat, flax, mulberry leaves, and tree lacquer for food and raw materials. Industrial buildings produce goods such as porcelain, lacquerware, bronze, textiles, paper, and jade items. Military management covers training soldiers in different unit types. Armies can raid other players' resources and attack cities on a world map. The broader campaign follows development from a primitive village through prosperity, colonization, expansion, and an attempt to unify the country into an empire.

Creeper World 4 also combines economic development with real-time strategy, but centers its conflict on fluid enemy waves across 3D terrain and building an energy and mining economy. This game instead combines level-gated city growth, agriculture, manufacturing, soldier training, raids, and attacks on cities across a world map.
