Our take on Mr. Saitou
The bounce point arrives when the story moves from the hospital into its strange fantasy setting. Players expecting combat or a long RPG campaign will also hit a wall, since the game centers on humor, friendships, and a compact single-sitting structure.
What is Mr. Saitou?
Mr.
Saitou centers on an overworked office employee whose routine is marked by loneliness. Following an accident and hospital stay, he is whisked into a bizarre realm, where a surprising companion leads him through Rakuen. This humorous, nonviolent adventure is built around relationships rather than combat. Along the way, he encounters familiar and unusual beings, attempts to win over his manager, investigates an Edudungeon, tackles a simple arithmetic challenge from the Sphinx, and travels by train. The compact story is generally suited to completion during a single play session. Laura Shigihara, Toby Fox, and No Holds Bard provided the artwork and original music.
