Our take on Mouse Hunter
The bounce point comes when diagonal movement leaves routes open despite traps blocking direct paths. Players seeking varied mechanics may also hit a wall with the repeated catch-or-contain structure across 100 levels.
What is Mouse Hunter?
Mouse Hunter is a 2D top-view puzzle game about stopping a mouse from reaching cheese.
The mouse appears on a map, and mousetraps are placed one at a time before it moves. The mouse can also move diagonally, so trap positions must account for those possible routes. A level is completed when the mouse is caught or surrounded so it cannot move. The game includes 100 levels built around catching the mouse or blocking its path.
How Mouse Hunter plays
- 01One-at-a-Time Traps
- Mousetraps are added individually while the mouse remains part of the map-based puzzle.
- 02Diagonal Movement
- The mouse may move diagonally, adding routes that trap placement must account for.
- 03Two Victory Conditions
- A level ends when the mouse is caught or has no possible move.
- 04100 Levels
- The game contains 100 stages focused on catching or containing the mouse.
