Our take on Mountain Alpaca
Rather than treating obstacles only as barriers, Mountain Alpaca also makes them tools for gaining height. Its climb-and-reach-the-portal stages replace a more open climbing journey with a difficult survival route and recorded completion times.
What is Mountain Alpaca?
Mountain Alpaca is a mountain-climbing game in which players guide an alpaca through stages.
Trees, stones, and other obstacles can be used to climb, but some must also be avoided. To clear a stage, survive the climb and reach its portal. The vendor describes the game as very difficult and says that few players will finish it. Cleared stages have recorded times on a leaderboard, and stages can be replayed to try to lower those times. A rabbit is another hazard to watch for. The vendor also says a save can be provided.
How Mountain Alpaca plays
- 01Obstacle-based climbing
- Trees and stones can serve as parts of the route upward, while other obstacles need to be avoided.
- 02Stage time records
- A leaderboard records clear times, giving repeat runs a time target.
- 03Portal stage exits
- Surviving the climb and reaching the portal completes a mountain stage.
