Our take on MoonQuest
Instead of using a fixed adventure route, MoonQuest rebuilds its world for every game and lets selected characters and moons alter the setting. Its destructible environments also replace the usual boundary between exploration spaces and obstacles.
What is MoonQuest?
MoonQuest is a procedurally generated adventure game in which each game creates a new world with varied regions, resources, wildlife, enemies, merchants, weather, and moons.
Exploration includes forests, mountains, caves, castles, villages, ruins, beaches, sewers, and cathedrals. The world is destructible, allowing players to cut through vines and demolish walls to reach hidden areas. Players harvest materials, find treasure, discover magical items, and buy, forge, cook, or weave useful objects. Playable characters have different abilities, items, effects on world generation, or quests. Each game also uses a randomly generated set of moons whose influences can alter the landscape, bringing effects such as rain, flooding, enlarged objects, or additional frogs.
