What is MONKEY KING: HERO IS BACK?
This action-adventure follows Sun Wukong, recently released after 500 years of imprisonment, and Liuer, a boy who admires him, through a new chapter of Journey to the West.
Players control the Monkey King across 10 levels, exploring environments for secrets and facing boss battles. Combat uses kung fu combos, finishers, counters triggered by quick-time events, items, and skills. Skills and abilities can be unlocked as the story progresses; combat also includes a magical staff and ranged fire projectiles. The game adapts the 2015 animated film and includes scenes from it alongside new story content. The Deluxe Edition includes the main game, two character skins, five in-game items, a season pass, and two additional episodes.
