Our take on Miniatures
The focus on arranged illustrations and sightseeing gives up combat, character development, and broader adventure systems. Its appeal depends on enjoying repeated visual assembly tasks rather than seeking varied action or strategic complexity.
What is Miniatures?
Miniatures is a 2D puzzle game set in the world of a bookworm girl.
Players assemble cities by fitting blocks, form routes by joining roads and rivers, and restore tombs, temples, and other landmarks through piece-matching challenges. The game presents these activities as a sightseeing journey inspired by the miniature paintings in Matrakçı Nasuh’s book Beyân-ı Menâzil-i Sefer-i Irâkeyn, which depicts places visited by an imperial army. Its visual style draws from illuminated manuscripts, while the atmosphere and gameplay are presented as relaxing. City-building allows different arrangements while puzzles are being solved.
