Our take on MicroCrawl
The defining detail is its 2D first-person point-and-click text hybrid, which combines visual scene navigation with written interaction in a retro adventure format.
What is MicroCrawl?
MicroCrawl is a compact 2D adventure combining point-and-click interaction with text-based play from a first-person viewpoint.
Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by 80s home-computer dungeon crawlers, it follows broken characters trying to find their way home. The game contains three separate adventures in the same setting. The main adventure is joined by Dead City, where the catacombs must be put to rest through puzzles described as more difficult than those in the main campaign, and The Prison, which follows an attempt to escape while revealing the world's lore. Its surreal dream world is drawn pixel by pixel, recalling the Commodore 64. The game also states that it avoids pixel hunting and moon logic.
