Our take on METAL DOGS
Instead of the tank-centered structure associated with the Metal Max series, this entry puts dogs at the center of top-down shooting and dungeon runs. Its repeatable maps and randomized equipment make combat and gear collection the main loop.
What is METAL DOGS?
METAL DOGS is a top-down shooting action game set in Japan after a catastrophe has wiped out most of humanity.
Players control Pochi, a combat dog searching for his absent master, and battle monsters in dangerous dungeons. Each dungeon run changes the terrain and treasure chest locations. Weapons include machine guns, cannons, and special equipment such as missiles; three slots allow different weapon combinations. Equipment drops can have random effects, including increased damage or magazine capacity, and higher-rarity items have more effects. The game also features dangerous WANTED monsters and three playable dogs: Pochi, Bell, and Bonanza. Early Access includes over 25 quests, more than 5 WANTED types, over 35 weapons, and play time exceeding 10 hours.
