What is MeiQi 2019?
MeiQi 2019 is a plot-focused puzzle mystery collection set in 1990s China.
It follows police detective Liu Youth as he investigates cases involving mysterious organizations. The first season contains six episodes: Meiqi, Tingting, Sifeng, Aiguo, Cuilan, and Jasmine. Each episode is a separate case that can be played independently and in any order, while the cases connect into a wider story. Gameplay centers on examining locations, finding evidence, solving environmental puzzles, and linking deductions. Settings include homes, lodges, temples, historic buildings, public areas, and transportation locations. The collection serves as the opening entry to the Sun Meiqi universe and is being redeveloped with Unreal Engine 5 for PC.
