Our take on Megaquarium
The aquarium’s species have individual care requirements, so choosing livestock shapes the tanks, equipment and staffing needed to keep exhibits running.
What is Megaquarium?
Megaquarium is an economic simulation game about running a public aquarium.
Begin with a few tanks and basic livestock, then design exhibits for 97 species, each with its own care requirements. Hire and train staff, research animals and equipment, and balance the costs of animal care, food, supplies and facilities against aquarium income. Guests need seating, food, drinks and toilets, and can pass through a gift shop. The 10-level campaign introduces aquarium management through objectives and changing conditions. Sandbox mode offers customizable settings and randomly generated challenges. Tank choices, filters, staff and layout affect one another, so managing the aquarium involves adjusting exhibits and operations as it grows.
