Our take on Medal of Honor™: Above and Beyond
The bounce point arrives at the VR requirement: players without interest in headset-based play cannot reach the campaign, combat exercises, or historical films. A second wall appears for those seeking only combat, since the package also gives substantial space to World War II history and interviews.
What is Medal of Honor™: Above and Beyond?
Set in World War II, this VR campaign casts players as an Office of Strategic Services agent operating across Europe.
Missions include sabotaging Nazi facilities, interfering with enemy operations, assisting the French Resistance, and taking part in major wartime events on land, in the air, and at sea. During combat, players can take cover behind objects, return grenades thrown by enemies, swim clear of ships going under, and escape from burning aircraft. Combat exercises provide practice, while short historical films include conversations with people who survived the war and those who served in it.
