Our take on Mall Rivals
The shared-mall format sacrifices privacy and control: every store competes for the same customers, while votes, sabotage, mall cops, and public shaming can disrupt a carefully planned business approach.
What is Mall Rivals?
Mall Rivals is a competitive mall simulation for 1–8 players.
Each player opens and customizes a store, chooses merchandise, fills shelves, hires employees, and competes for the same customers. Business decisions include setting lower prices, managing stock, and selecting a store type. Players can cooperate or play independently, while sabotage and other questionable tactics offer an alternative to fair competition. Procedurally generated maps add variation to mall layouts. A board room lets players suggest policies and vote on changes that can affect everyone. Breaking rules may result in public exposure through ShameTV. Character customization, mall cops, smugglers, and physical mechanics are also part of the game.
How Mall Rivals plays

- 05Procedural Maps
