Our take on Madcap Castle
The defining detail is learning spells from books found within the castle, then applying those abilities to solve its puzzles.
What is Madcap Castle?
Guide a mage through a mysterious castle spanning 150 stages while he seeks to restore his lost memories and magical abilities.
Each stage may feature hazards, foes, interactive items, puzzles, and hidden areas. With only a small collection of spells at the beginning, the mage discovers spellbooks in selected stages and learns powers from them. These include igniting candles, summoning chickens, and activating levers to progress through puzzles. The presentation uses four colours modeled after classic Game Boy titles. The game was made for BaconGameJam 10 in 48 hours. Its demo offers 45 stages, and it supports Xbox 360 controllers.
