Our take on Ludus
The defining structure is a gladiator school where fighters are trained in one of five named styles, with school management and arena victories tied together.
What is Ludus?
Ludus is a management game set in ancient Rome, where the task is to build a gladiator school and survive.
Train gladiators and enter them in fights against other gladiators to win victories. Choose from 5 fighting styles—Dimachaerus, Retiarius, Murmillo, Hoplomachus and Gallus—and train fighters according to their chosen style. Buy armor, swords and other equipment, trade goods and earn money. The school can be expanded, while employees are hired and managed. Slaves can be bought, trained as gladiators and put up for auction. Alongside running the school and handling its fighters, the game also calls for taking care of the manager’s family.
