What is 爱人 Lover?
Lover is a text-based interactive visual novel with three stories set in China: a school story, a historical story, and a contemporary urban story.
Each follows a different woman from a first-person perspective. The narratives focus on relationships and changing feelings; characters do not automatically change their minds because of a branch choice. The game has three protagonists, a script of 130,000 Chinese characters, and an eight-hour playthrough with full voice acting for all characters. Each story has its own collectibles, and character notes reveal private thoughts. The historical story includes a letter system, while the gallery has 27 collectible CG images. The third story, “Obsession,” includes NTR content.
