Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want a survival game centered on hunger, thirst, and gathering supplies
- Adventure fans seeking a small set of story missions with combat
- Collectors who enjoy searching an island for hidden items and achievements
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a deep or broad mission campaign may find the structure limited to two main objectives.
- Players looking for a highly varied long-term progression system may find the repeated survival, combat, and collection loop narrow.
- Players wanting a management or crafting-focused survival game may prefer Mr. Prepper's shelter-building and crafting structure.
Our take on Lost Island
The island-survival focus keeps the activity centered on gathering, basic needs, combat, and two missions. That concentrated structure leaves less room for the broader management, crafting, or narrative systems found in some other survival games.
What is Lost Island?
Lost Island places the player alone on an island with survival needs, hostile enemies, weapons, collectibles, and a drivable car.
Food and drinks restore hunger and thirst, while swords, knives, pistols, and other weapons can be used against enemies. Two island characters assign missions: finding a missing item and rescuing kidnapped scientists. Exploration also includes hidden golden campfires; collecting 13 of them grants Steam achievements. Other collectibles include hats and similar items. The core structure combines gathering supplies, managing hunger and thirst, fighting enemies, completing the two missions, searching for hidden campfires, and traveling around the island by car.

Lost Island compared to similar games
