Our take on LORED
Instead of using combat or exploration as its central structure, this strategy game focuses on collecting resources with automated stickfigure workers. Worker dialogue sits alongside fuel management, upgrade stages, output tradeoffs, and prestige requirements.
What is LORED?
LORED is an idle-incremental game about collecting resources including Iron, Copper, and Malignancy.
Players assign stickfigure LOREDs to work, purchase upgrades, and keep their fuel supplied. The game has four stages of LOREDs and upgrades. The strongest upgrades consume the current host and require a prestige. Leveling a LORED doubles its output while also doubling its input, creating a tradeoff in resource management. The game includes 63 LOREDs, each with a unique animation. LOREDs can think aloud and respond to one another, and players can talk with them between resource-management tasks. The game was rebuilt with new upgrade trees and mechanics after its initial 2019 release.
