Our take on Loot River
Rather than treating the dungeon as a fixed space, Loot River makes its floor part of the combat system. Sliding ruin platforms changes movement, positioning, puzzle solving, and encounters, giving its roguelike structure a spatial-puzzle layer.
What is Loot River?
Loot River is a challenging roguelike set in a narrative-rich world of procedurally generated labyrinths.
Players control floating sections of ancient ruins to navigate catacombs, solve environmental puzzles, and reposition platforms during real-time combat. Battles include bestial enemies and demanding bosses, with weapons, magic, charms, armor, headgear, and runes shaping different tactics. Death leads to rebirth, while permanent upgrades and newly discovered equipment carry knowledge forward. The game includes 26 weapons, more than 40 charms, 9 armor sets, and 18 headgear options. A level editor allows players to create, share, and play custom stages made by the community. Characters, travelers, and foes populate the hand-drawn pixel-art setting.

Loot River compared to similar games
Loot River combines roguelike progression with real-time combat and movable ruin platforms. Quasimorph also uses a high-stakes roguelike structure, but places it in a cyberpunk setting centered on corporate contracts, extraction, and a PMC that retains successful mission gains.
