SimulationIs Legend of Merchant worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy short trading simulations with changing prices
- Score-focused players who want to replay runs with random elements
- Players who prefer keyboard-driven mini-games with limited-day goals
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long campaign or deep gameplay systems may stop at the mini-game's limited scope.
- Players who dislike repeating runs may bounce off the need to restart for a higher score.
- Players who need multiple save profiles may be blocked by the single-slot overwrite system.
Our take on Legend of Merchant
The bounce point arrives when starting a new run: the single profile is overwritten, so players testing different strategies cannot preserve multiple attempts. Players may also stop sooner if the short trading loop and limited scope do not provide enough variety.
What is Legend of Merchant?
Play as an ancient eastern merchant in a short trading game.
Buy and sell goods, make decisions within a limited number of days, and try to earn more money. Prices change after each day, with random price limits, events, hoarding effects, dumping effects, and possible rebounds shaping the market. Each playthrough includes randomness, so a new game can be started to pursue a higher score. Progress saves automatically at the end of each day, but only one save slot is available and starting a new game overwrites the previous profile. Keyboard shortcuts control buying quantities, panels, scrolling, returning home, and the bulletin board.
How Legend of Merchant plays
- 01Changing Market Prices
- Daily prices respond to item-specific limits, market actions, events, and random movement.
- 02Limited-Day Trading
- The objective is to make more money before the available days run out.
- 03Single Save Slot
- The game saves at the end of each day, while starting a new game replaces the existing profile.
- 04Keyboard Shortcuts
- Keyboard commands adjust quantities, scroll the interface, return home, and open the bulletin board, while right-click closes the current panel.
