Our take on Kromaticube
The game focuses on six short survival stages, music, and reflex practice. That narrow structure gives up broader activities and a longer playtime, leaving repeated attempts and skill improvement as the main source of continued engagement.
What is Kromaticube?
Kromaticube is a minimalist arcade game about avoiding obstacles while listening to chiptune music.
It contains six levels, each with its own atmosphere and music. Obstacles are randomly generated from 25 different patterns and obstacle types. Surviving for at least 60 seconds completes a level, and the game can technically be finished in six minutes. Reaching a satisfying skill level requires practice with the patterns and reflex challenges. Scoring has no stated upper limit. The levels are associated with different feelings, such as joy, sadness, and fear. Gameplay focuses on staying alive, recognizing obstacle patterns, improving reflexes, and repeating attempts across the available stages.

Kromaticube compared to similar games
