Our take on Kittypocalypse
Rather than placing tower defense behind a conventional screen interface, the game builds its controls around room-scale VR and Vive play. Its battlefield is also split across 15 floating islands, while enemy armor makes weapon selection part of the defense loop.
What is Kittypocalypse?
Kittypocalypse is a tower defense game for VR in which alien kittens attack floating island homes.
Players protect control points, place weapons, and improve their defenses as enemy waves change. Some kittens gain armor, while the game uses a damage model covering both weapons and kitten protection. The campaign spans 15 islands with varied environments, and a skirmish mode provides a separate structure for play. More than 50 weapon upgrades can be unlocked, allowing defenses to be adjusted for incoming hordes. Enemy movement is free-flowing rather than restricted to a single stated route. The game uses a room-scale Vive control system and includes a difficulty progression that begins gently before reaching a final challenge.
