What is Katanaut?
Katanaut is a fast-paced action roguelite set on a space station descending into cosmic chaos.
As Naut, players move through increasingly disturbing corridors, fighting inhabitants transformed into hostile creatures. Combat centers on sword attacks, evasion, abilities, and time manipulation, with options for close or ranged encounters. Each run changes the routes through the station and presents new groups of enemies. When Naut’s bio-signals disappear, time manipulation brings the character back. Exploration also reveals memory fragments left by fallen inhabitants; these can provide abilities or talents for later runs. Progress from collected fragments carries across elevator trips as the descent continues.
