Our take on Katana X
The bounce point is the physical control system. Rapid controller movement meets the fatigue and weight threshold, while sword-like swings require clear space around the player. Anyone unable to set up that area may hit the practical limit before pursuing high scores.
What is Katana X?
Katana X is a VR sword simulation game controlled with tracked motion controls.
Players cut fruit with the sharp edge of a virtual sword, seek combo opportunities, and avoid bombs while pursuing high scores. Its physics-based cutting system allows different cutting approaches, while a fatigue and weight threshold discourages excessively fast controller movements. Training modes introduce fruit cutting, and other fruit modes use a reworked spawning system. Tatami mat challenges provide additional cutting activities.
The game includes two scenes with day and night settings, six interchangeable blades, and three handle styles. Local and global leaderboards let players compare scores. Katana X supports HTC Vive and Oculus Touch. The game advises maintaining a clear play area and taking breaks during physical play.
