Our take on KARNAL
Players who prefer forgiving combat may bounce off when encounters demand control of movement and weapons alongside resource management and environmental awareness. Arena Mode adds another pressure point: deciding whether to save or gamble money for equipment before facing endless waves.
What is KARNAL?
KARNAL is a brief, mood-driven shooter viewed from a first-person perspective, following an unnamed reporter trapped in circumstances where dreams and waking life overlap.
Progress requires finding a way out, reaching his wife, and keeping her safe. Success depends on controlling movement, handling firearms, conserving supplies, and exploiting surroundings. Influenced by 1990s shooters, the game runs on Unreal Engine 5 and uses Lumen for illumination and reflective effects. Exploration contains hidden discoveries, Easter eggs, and the optional Lost Tapes material. In Arena Mode, players acquire weapons and provisions with saved or wagered money before confronting limitless enemy waves in a selected arena.
How KARNAL plays

- 03Endless arena battles
