Play it if you…
Good fit- Players interested in kanji who want factory automation rather than language lessons.
- Strategy players who enjoy choosing machines between generated stages.
- Simulation fans who prefer managing production and factory expansion over character-driven stories.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a narrative-led campaign may find the factory production loop limited in story content.
- Those who want direct, continuous control of every production step may not enjoy watching machines assemble characters automatically.
- Players looking for combat-focused strategy may find the factory management focus outside their preferred scope.
Our take on Kanji Industry
The central mechanic is an automated assembly line where machines combine two adjacent kanji characters into one, turning character construction into factory production.
What is Kanji Industry?
Kanji Industry is a factory automation game about producing kanji characters by combining other characters.
It has two modes. In Stage Mode, play through automatically generated stages; after clearing a stage, choose one of three machines and plan which equipment to collect for what comes next. In World Mode, manage a kanji factory by buying a site and expanding production. Machines are leased, with rental fees due at regular intervals.
Generating machines produce specified kanji over time, while assembly machines combine two adjacent characters into one. Delivery and redemption machines handle the kanji required for each stage, clearing it and earning money. In World Mode, producing more complex characters for sale brings in money, and delivering specified characters can increase the number of machines available to rent.
