Our take on Kabuto Park
Creature collectors often expect exploration, lengthy progression, or an expansive world. Kabuto Park replaces that structure with a fixed month of bug catching, brief battles, equipment purchases, and a 2 to 4 hour format.
What is Kabuto Park?
Follow Hana through a month of summer vacation in Kabuto Park, where she catches insects and prepares them for beetle contests.
More than 40 species can be found by releasing the net at the right moment. Build a team according to each creature’s attributes, skills, or looks, then use the resulting cards in small ring battles aimed at knocking rivals outside the boundary. Sweets raise a bug’s level, while shop items such as improved footwear and nets support catching.
Purchases can also unlock locations, increase encounters with uncommon species, or simplify captures. The game brings together insect collecting, light deck construction, ring matches, progression, and modest equipment improvements over a 2-to-4-hour playtime. Collected creatures may also be stroked inside a terrarium.
