Our take on Junkyard Truck
The focus on truck upkeep adds mechanical detail but makes progress dependent on repairs, part purchases, and income generation. Driving challenges are therefore tied to maintenance and budgeting rather than separated from them.
What is Junkyard Truck?
Build and maintain an old off-road truck by replacing worn parts, assembling missing components, and buying upgrades.
Once operational, the truck can be used for missions, deliveries, rescues, junk collection, races, rock crawls, hill climbs, and long jumps. Income can also come from logging, mining, moonshine brewing, or Texas Hold’em at the pub. Funds pay for repairs, maintenance, and further parts. The game includes a service manual, town mechanic inspections and repairs, a second buildable motocross bike, and a day-night cycle requiring food, water, and sleep management. Vehicle systems include more than 60 stock parts, a swappable V8, aftermarket components, softbody physics, and failure feedback for temperature, fluids, and parts.
