Is Journey of the King worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fantasy RPG players who want a journey centered on companions and party combat
- Adventure players who enjoy beginning with local tasks before pursuing a larger mystery
- Players who are willing to engage with a game still in early development
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a finished, fully developed RPG may hit a wall because the game is still in an early development state
- Players looking for immediate large-scale adventure may find the opening's recovery period and small village tasks too slow
- Players who want a combat-free fantasy story are unlikely to fit a game built around fighting enemies with companions
Our take on Journey of the King
The bounce point arrives before the wider adventure: after the bandit ambush, progress begins with recovery and small tasks for the villager. Players expecting a finished campaign may also stop at the early-development stage, before the journey's full scope is available.
What is Journey of the King?

As the story progresses, the adventurer gains companions and fights alongside them against familiar and new enemies.
