What is Jester / King?
Jester / King is a dark visual novel about Madion, a court jester who wakes beside the dead king in a cursed kingdom.
A demonic curse has killed the kingdom’s true citizens and driven others into madness. Choices determine whether Madion seeks the truth, helps survivors, or attempts to escape, while also shaping relationships with Lucille, Calix, and Edwina. The story contains over ninety thousand words, with important lines voiced over. Players collect information keys needed to advance the story and discover the truth. Because the kingdom is trapped in a time loop, a flowchart records choices and allows decisions to be changed. The story includes themes of murder, love, trust, deceit, memory loss, and redemption.
