What is Jack Barau?
Jack Barau is a 2D puzzle-platform game in which a pirate petrel searches an island for young birds and escorts them to the sea.
Nighttime illumination confuses the fledglings, exposing them to rats and feral cats. Rescued birds join a vulnerable procession that grows as the journey continues. Players navigate different settings with careful movement, evade predators and dangers after dark, set off traps, and operate switches that open routes. The game presents the endangered Barau’s petrel of Réunion Island’s uplands through a stylized setting. Humor and feeling accompany an adventure about safeguarding the seabirds and guiding them toward safety.
