Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly scripted campaign may hit a wall with the open-ended sandbox structure.

- Players looking for cooperative action RPG play may prefer a game centered on shared defense and character progression.
- Players seeking a mystery or hacking-focused game may not find the mining-outpost premise suitable.
Our take on Isomer
The bounce point comes when a player expects a directed sequence of missions. Progress instead depends on deciding where to explore, what to mine or loot, how to fortify the outpost, and how far to expand the alien army across each generated world.
What is Isomer?
Lead extraterrestrial troops on a remote world while building a mining settlement.
A dropship delivers workers who extract materials and raise defensive structures. Human forces hold installations throughout procedurally created environments, each with its own terrain, resources, and points of conflict. The sandbox format leaves the campaign open, allowing travel, extraction, scavenging, and attacks without a prescribed objective order. Base and army size remain under player control while hostile defenders attempt to drive out the newcomers. An isometric camera presents the action, combining elements associated with classic turn-based strategy and survival games.
How Isomer plays

- 05Open-ended conquest

Isomer compared to similar games
